DLC Holdings is currently seeking investors to partner on the expansion of current Florida operations and the acquisition of further land assets.

The company is actively acquiring former citrus land in central Florida. Over the past decade, the citrus industry in Florida has collapsed and is in what many believe is terminal decline. The combination of weather events, demand decrease, and citrus greening (candidatus liberibacterasiaticus) has brought the industry to a near stand still. Florida’s orange production has declined from 244 million boxes in 1998 to less than 40 million boxes in 2022 (a 6 fold decrease). This is the lowest production since 1934. Accordingly, there is currently excess supply of quality farmland with world-class infrastructure available at compelling valuations. Much of the Florida land is absentee owned by out of state investors seeking an exit. We believe this presents a once in a generation opportunity to acquire large scale tracts of land suitable for commercial production. The transition from citrus to macadamias, blueberries, and other tree species not affected by citrus greening will provide investors an outsized return while hedging inflation and earning a predictable cashflow stream.

We believe the timing is ideal to acquire land at 20 year adjusted lows. These parcels have sophisticated irrigation and drainage in place with a well trained and available labor force nearby. In particular, the macadamia industry has suffered from long and complicated supply chains. Over 90% of macadamia production is in South Africa, Australia, and other southern hemisphere locations, while over 60% of the consumption is in North America. This presents an opportunity to vertically integrate the production, processing, and distribution of macadamias which is one of the world’s most high value edible products by weight.

DLC is currently organizing the acquisition of multiple properties. Accredited investors have the opportunity to invest either through the purchase of new shares in DLC or through a private investment vehicle managed by DLC.
